If you're dealing with Histamine issues, this might surprise you!
If you have issues with Histamines and enjoy a Paleo/Primal diet, you need to know that some of the delicious foods you are enjoying might be causing you negative symptoms. Sad, I know, but the truth is that fermented foods such as pickles, sauerkraut, kimchi, kefir, cheese, yogurt, fish sauce, kombucha, wine, vinegar and anything cured like bacon, salami, sausages, ham and cold cuts are histamine bombs! Many slow cooked foods like bone broth can also be problematic for Histamine sensitive people. Also the more food is exposed to bacteria or yeast, ie leftovers, or food sitting out after being cooked, the higher the Histamine content gets. Now before you get too sad, (I did) know that due to the complexity of Histamine Intolerance issues, some peopled do not have an adverse reaction to the foods I mentioned, so you can breathe now :) Its a good thing, however, to know they could be causing you problems.
